South Paw Canine Country Club: Ten Years of Love, Wellness & Wagging Tails

We just celebrated the 10th anniversary of South Paw Massage and Wellness, now known as South Paw Canine Country Club, and what a journey it’s been! What began as a heartfelt mission to help dogs live longer and stronger through massage and holistic therapies has blossomed into something far greater: a community where dogs and people thrive together.

In 2015 I began offering in-home canine massage and swim therapy, helping dogs recover, relax, and thrive through hands-on healing and water-based exercise. Word spread quickly—not just because of the physical and mental benefits the dogs were showing, but because I wanted South Paw to be different. It’s personal. It has a standard. It’s a community built on compassion, trust, education and love. Every dog is seen and cared for like family.

Over the years I've carried a big vision, sometimes feeling overwhelmed and wanting to quit. But with consistent effort, lots of sweat and maybe a few tears, my small business evolved into South Paw Canine Country Club: a full-service canine retreat! South Paw has become more than a wellness space for dogs—it’s a place that provides meaningful jobs for people who share the same passion for helping animals live their best lives.

Together we’ve built more than a facility; we’ve built a family. Today our incredible team and I continue that same mission I started and envisioned—combining wellness, structure, constant education, and play to help dogs:

• Build confidence through social learning and dog-specific enrichment

• Benefit from massage, swim and wellness sessions

• Live not just longer and stronger, but happier and healthier lives

Even beyond our gates, South Paw has built a community. We have:

• Helped countless dogs want to jump in the car or play with the ball again

• Educated owners on balanced, holistic care

• Provided a space for dogs to grow, heal, discover confidence and connect 

• Supported local causes, rescues and families in need

• Provided a place where dogs find confidence, healing and joy every single day, and where our team finds purpose in the work we love

In the next chapter of South Paw’s story we will:

• Expand our wellness and education programs even further

• Continue innovating with fun, safe and meaningful ways dogs can play, learn and thrive

• Deepen our community ties—because our mission always includes giving back to dogs, families and our local neighborhood
